We are going to create a catalog and go through the setup together, step by step, using screenshots. This will allow you to create it independently and link it to the menu bar.
(This method also applies to creating a blog.)
Goal to achieve on the front office:
First, go to the back office, then click on Offer, and then Catalog of Product. Here, you will find the catalogs you have already created.
We will follow the one highlighted: car-services.
To create your catalog, please choose the URL of your page.
Be careful not to use special characters. Also, make sure not to use the same URL more than once. At first, it is normal if you cannot switch the catalog to the “pushing catalog” status. To do so, you must fill in all the required information before you can set it to green. Most importantly, do not forget to complete the SEO section (meta-title and meta-description), otherwise the catalog will not be published. Once all the information has been filled in, you will then be able to activate the toggle.
Once you catalog is created, you can add pages belonging to it. For instance in your catalog car services, you will have pages for the services battery, oil change, season check.
2 possibilities to create those pages : you can choose to create your page using one of the available templates or start from scratch.We recommend using the suggested templates, as they are designed to make it easier for you to create your page.
You just need to open them, rename them, and add the information you want.
Don’t forget to always validate at the end to save your changes.
Once the catalog has been created, you can add items to the menu bar.
To do this, switch categories in the back office and go to Design, then open the “Homepage” dropdown menu, and finally the “Browsing menu” dropdown menu.
