Email customisation
A confirmation or information email will be sent to customers once they have performed certain operations in your online shop.
For example, this is the case when they request an appointment or quote, when they place an order, or when they subscribe to your newsletter. Initial versions of these emails have already been drafted. You can modify them. Click on “Edit” to do so.
You will be brought to a new screen where you will see the email’s current content as it appears to your customers. You can edit each content block. The email’s subject line is the title shown in the customer’s inbox before opening the email. An email consists of three parts: a header, content and a footer. You can modify the header and footer. The email content field is not modifiable since it contains information about the customer’s request.
When you click on “Edit” for one of these boxes, you can then use our tool to add images, links, videos, or even specific formatting.
By clicking on “Source,” you can directly modify your HTML code in the text box that you have already drafted by using your CMS tool.
Remember to save once all your modifications or additions have been made.
If ever you wish to restore our prefilled information after a modification, all you have to do is click on “Reset”. All your modifications will be deleted.
You can add special variables to your emails. This allows variables to be replaced by their values. For example, the $CustomerName$ variable will be replaced by the customer’s name. This allows for additional email customisation for the person receiving it. All existing special variables are shown at the bottom of the page.
Let us now return to the main page to see its second part; there is a “General information” box under the specific email box. This will first show you the email address sending the emails. This is the address you have provided in your personal information. You can then add your email signature.
This is the message that will appear at the end of each email you send.
Remember to save any modifications.
